QP CSM19 SOCIOLOGY II PREVIOUS YEAR PAPER 2019 FOR PREPARATION OF CSE. UPSC Civil Services Mains Exam has Sociology as one of the Optional Subjects with 2 papers (Optional Paper I and Paper II). The mains examination is a part of IAS Exam which has 3 stages- Prelims, Mains and Interview. The Civil Services Examination is a nationwide competitive examination in India conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to various Civil Services of the Government of India, including the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, and Indian Police Service. Also simply referred to as the UPSC examination, it is conducted in three phases - a preliminary examination consisting of two objective-type papers, and a main examination consisting of nine papers of conventional type, in which two papers are qualifying and only marks of seven are counted followed by a personality test.

UPSC GENERAL STUDIES PAPER- I

UPSC conducts the Civil Services Exam in three stages, namely prelims, mains and personality test/interview. Prelims and Mains are the stages which have General Studies papers. In Prelims, the papers are General Studies Paper I and General Studies paper II. General Studies is covered more extensively in the IAS Mains exam. Out of a total of 9 papers, 4 are termed General Studies while the Essay paper is loosely related to General studies as topics are selected from random subjects in this paper.
