A New way, The Area of Trapezium
A New way, The Area of Trapezium by Piyush Goel Lot of mathematicians have proved Pythagoras theorem in their own ways. If you google it you will indeed found hundred of ways. Meanwhile I was also sure that maybe one day I could find something new out of this incredible Pythagoras theorem and Recently I got something which I would like to share with you. To Prove: Deriving the equation of area of trapezium using Arcs Proof: There is a triangle ABC with sides a b and c as shown in the figure. Now, Area of ∆ BCEG = Area of ∆ BDC +Area of ⌂ DCEF + Area of ∆ EFG c^2=ac/2+ Area of ⌂ DCEF + (c-b) c/2 (2c^2– ac –c^2+ bc )/2=Area of ⌂ DCEF (c^2– ac+ bc )/2=Area of ⌂ DCEF c(c– a+ b)/2=Area of ⌂ DCEF Area of ⌂ DCEF=BC(DE+CF)/2 Copyrighted©PiyushGoel
Blood Relations used to be a tough topic but not anymore. Here are some of the common type of question to catch the answer as fast as possible Nowadays, Three common types of Blood relation questions are coming: i)Normal questions ii)Coded Blood Relations iii)pointing question(Someone pointed to someone) TIPS: i)If the age group is the same, use a ------- to represent the same level. It is applicable for sister, brother, cousin. ii)If the age group is above us, use an arrow pointing upwards to indicate a higher level. It is applicable for Father, Mother, Uncle, Aunt. iii)If the age group is below us, use an arrow pointing downwards to indicate lower level. It is applicable for Daughter, Son, Nephew, Niece. Normal question If A is the brother of B; B is the sister of C; and C is the father of D, how D is related to A? A.Brother B.Sister C.Nephew D.Cannot be determined Solution: If D is Male, the answer is Nephew. If D is Female, the answer is Niece. As the sex of D is not known, hence, the relation between D and A cannot be determined. Note: Niece - A daughter of one's brother or sister, or of one's brother-in-law or sister-in-law. Nephew - A son of one's brother or sister, or of one's brother-in-law or sister-in-law. Coded Questions If A + B means A is the brother of B; A - B means A is the sister of B and A x B means A is the father of B. Which of the following means that C is the son of M? A.M - N x C + F B.F - C + N x M C.N + M - F X C D.M x N - C + F Answer: Option D Explanation: M x N → M is the father of N N - C → N is the sister of C and C + F → C is the brother of F. Hence, M is the father of C or C is the son of M. Someone pointing/saying to someone Introducing a boy, a girl said, "He is the son of the daughter of the father of my uncle." How is the boy related to the girl? A.Brother B.Nephew C.Uncle D.Son-in-law Answer: Option A Explanation: The father of the boy's uncle → the grandfather of the boy and daughter of the grandfather → sister of the father. note: The examples here are taken from indiabix.
