Environment studies

Environmental studies are the scientific study of the environmental system and the status of its inherent or induced changes on organisms. It includes not only the study of physical and biological characters of the environment but also the social and cultural factors and the impact of man on environment.

EMFT question bank

An electromagnetic field, sometimes referred to as an EM field, is generated when charged particles, such as electrons, are accelerated. All electrically charged particles are surrounded by electric fields.

microprocessor

The Intel 8085 ("eighty-eighty-five") is an 8-bit microprocessor produced by Intel and introduced in March 1976. It is a software-binary compatible with the more-famous Intel 8080 with only two minor instructions added to support its added interrupt and serial input/output features.

Time varying fields

In other words, a time-varying electric field is produced by a time-varying magnetic field and a time-varying magnetic field is produced by a time-varying electric field. The first concept was experimentally introduced by Michael Faraday and the second was theoretically introduced by James Clerk Maxwell.

Bode plot

In electrical engineering and control theory, a Bode plot /ˈboʊdi/ is a graph of the frequency response of a system. It is usually a combination of a Bode magnitude plot, expressing the magnitude (usually in decibels) of the frequency response, and a Bode phase plot, expressing the phase shift.

Asynchronous counter

Asynchronous counters are those whose output is free from the clock signal. Because the flip flops in asynchronous counters are supplied with different clock signals, there may be delay in producing output. The required number of logic gates to design asynchronous counters is very less

Arithmetic circuits

An arithmetic circuit is a set of gates with a separate set of inputs for each number that has to be processed. The gates are connected so as to carry out an arithmetic action and the outputs of the gate circuit are the digits of the result

Multistage BJT amplifier

In Multi-stage amplifiers, the output of first stage is coupled to the input of next stage using a coupling device. These coupling devices can usually be a capacitor or a transformer. This process of joining two amplifier stages using a coupling device can be called as Cascading.

Controlled Rectifiers

These are the notes on most important section from power electronics that is controlled rectifiers. Controlled rectifiers are rectifiers designed using power electronics switches. Power electronics possess a weightage of 9-10 marks for GATE examination.
